The Bank Campground overlooks Shelf Road and is located at an elevation of 6892′. Open year-round; most visitors come for the spectacular rock climbing adjacent to the campground. The Bank has 33 campsites including four pull-through sites. Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits and vault toilets. There is no water available. The best weather is in spring and fall with warm days in the winter. The access road is a long, steep grade so is not recommended for RVs or long trailers.

Directions
From Hwy 50 in Canon City, turn north (right) onto Steinmeier Avenue. At the roundabout, take the first right onto Dozier Street (at Wal-Mart). Continue on Dozier past the curve to the left. At the stop sign, turn north (right) on Field and travel on this two-lane road for about five miles. It will join Fremont County Road 9 (also called Red Canyon Road) at a “Y” intersection. From here, continue north for another 4 miles. Turn left at The Bank Campground sign. Travel past a corral and trailer parking and continue on the steep windy dirt road for approximately 1.25 miles where you will find the campground and day-use parking.
