Ski Apache is a popular alpine ski facility located near Sierra Blanca. It offers downhill ski opportunities in the winter, access to the White Mountain Wilderness Area trails and also stunning views from the Lookout Vista Observation Site.
Directions
Follow NM 48 north out of Ruidoso for 4 miles, turn west (left) on NM 532 to the very end (about 12 miles). This road is steep with some very sharp turns, heavy braking is needed going downhill. Chains may be required in the winter months for safety.
