Salt Creek #514

The Salt Creek Trail #514 serves as a connecting route between the Big Creek Road and the Park Creek Road, FSR #262.  The trail climbs out of Park Creek into Leon Creek, and then continues climbing until it levels out in the high country above East and West Salt Creek.  Because of the rapid climb in elevation, the Salt Creek Trail has several steep grades which should be ridden with caution.  The Salt Creek Trail has several overlooks which offer scenic vistas of the Battlement Mts. and the Salt, Leon and Plateau Creek drainages.
