The Power Line Trail #520 travels along the powerline right of way from the southern trailhead at the Grand Mesa/Gunnison National Forest boundary to the northern trailhead along Crane Creek off the Buzzard Cow Camp Road, FSR #265.2D. Some sections of the trail from Owens Creek to the Buzzard Cow Camp Road on Crane Creek can be difficult to follow and sometimes impassible. This trail receives moderate use during the summer and heavy use during the fall hunting season.

SOUTHERN ACCESS:
Travel east 14.3 miles on Highway 330 from the Plateau Creek Bridge in Collbran to its intersection with the Buzzard Divide Road, FSR #265. Turn right and travel south on Buzzard Divide Road for approximately 16 miles to its intersection with Texas Hill Road, FSR #841, just to the south of the Grand Mesa/Gunnison National Forest boundary. Turn left onto Texas Hill Rd. and travel 1.5 miles east and north to its intersection with both the Burn and Power Line Trailheads on the west side of Oil Well Mountain.
NORTHERN ACCESS::
Travel east 14.3 miles on Highway 330 from the Plateau Creek Bridge in Collbran to its intersection with the Buzzard Divide Road, FSR #265. Turn right and travel south on Buzzard Divide Road for approximately 11.1 miles to its intersection with the Buzzard Cow Camp Road, FSR #265.2D. Turn left onto the Buzzard Cow Camp Road and travel east and north approximately 0.7 miles to the northern trailhead of the Power Line Trail.
