Paradox #502

The Paradox Trail #502 begins at the end of Forest Service Road #660, Pinto Mesa Road, and ends at the National Forest Boundary. The trail starts west, then northwest and descend off Pinto Mesa. After about 0.4, it turn southeast and at about 1 miles it veer to the southwest as it wanders its way toward Coal Canyon. It ends at the National Forest Boundary which is also the edge of the Tabeguache Area.

Directions

From Nucla: On Hwy 97, turn east on East 4th Ave. and travel approximately 0.5 miles. Turn north on 25 Mesa/Delta-Nucla Road, which becomes Forest Service Road #503 at the National Forest boundary, and continue for approximately 7 miles to FSR #660, Pinto Mesa Road. Turn north onto FSR #660 and continue for approximately 2.5 miles to the beginning of the trail at the end of the road.

From Delta: Turn west on Highway 348, 6th Street. Travel west and south on HWY 348 for approximately 4 miles to 25 Mesa Road. Continue on 25 Mesa Road for approximately 18 miles the National Forest Boundary where 25 Mesa Road becomes Forest Service Road #503. Continue on FSR #503 for approximately 9.3 miles to FSR #402, Divide Road. Turn south on FSR #402 and continue for approximately 0.9 miles to FSR #503 South, Delta-Nulca Road. Continue south on FSR #503 for approximately 14.5 miles to FSR #660, Pinto Mesa Road. Follow FSR #660 for approximately 2.5 miles to the end of the road where the trail begins.
