Half Moon Lake is a small 14 acre lake which lies northeast of Usk, WA. The lake is named for its distinctive half moon shape and is popular with fly fishing enthusiasts. Cutthroat trout are planted on a regular basis. Eastern brook trout are also present. Camping is not allowed at the lake and no facilities are available. There is a small, steep boat ramp across the road from the small parking area. If you do wish to camp, Browns Lake, South Skookum Lake and North Skookum Lake Campgrounds are located within a few miles of the lake.
Directions
From Newport, WA: Travel northeast on WA-20 for 16.7 miles to Kings Lake Rd. Turn right onto Kings Lake Rd continue on Kings Lake Rd for 1.5 miles. Slight left to stay on Kings Lake Rd for 5.1 Miles. Turn left onto Kings Lake Rd for 1.7 miles to Half Moon Lake.
