Empire Lakes (North, Middle, South)

Empire LakesThis off the beaten path, but easily accessed chain of three beautiful lakes totaling 4.7 acres is a great place for anglers wishing to catch 6 to 10 inch Eastern Brook Trout.  The lake is so quiet  you can hear waterfowl calling across the lake and observe whitetail deer coming in at dusk from the forested landscape to drink from the lake.  There are no amenities offered but a person can find a rustic place or two for tent camping. Grocery, camping and fishing supplies can be restocked 11 miles South in the quaint, old fashion mining town of Republic.
