Sylvia Lake Campground

Sylvia Lake Campground has 3 designated campsites. Each site has a picnic table, firering and a vault toilet in the campground. There is a small boat ramp for fishing boats, canoes and kakaks. The lake has native grayling and cuttroat trout.

Directions

Located 33 miles from Whitefish. Take Highway 93 northwest out of Whitefish, Montana. Turn onto Farm to Market Road. Turn off Farm to Market Road onto Star Meadows Road (Forest Service Road 539). Take this road to Forest Service Road 113 that turns into FS Rd #538B go 3.5 miles look for the campground site sign. Signs mark the way to Sylvia Lake at most intersections along the route.

Ashley Lake South Campground

This is a very small campground with 2 sites, a vault toilet, picnic tables and firerings. There is a walk down boat launching site for kayaks and canoes. Access road has sharp hairpin corner so RV’s are not reccomended. Stay limit is 5 days.

Located 12 miles from Kalispell. Take Highway 2 west out of Kalispell. Turn at Batavia School onto Ashley Lake Road #912. Take the southshore road turn at the camping sign.

Swan Lake Swimming Site

The Swan Lake Swimming Site is located in the Swan Lake Say Use Area. There is a beach on the shores of Swan Lake open for public swimming. There are restrooms, a boat ramp, dock, and picnic areas available as well. There is a $5 dollar day use fee for this site.

The swimming site is located with the Swan Lake Day Use Area. From Hwy 83, turn west near mile marker 72, just north of town. The campground is located across the street on the east side.

Swan Lake Picnic Site

The Swan Lake Picnic Site is located in the Swan Lake Day Use Area. There are plenty of picnic tables and fire rings available. There are restrooms, water taps, and trash receptables at this site as well as a boat ramp, dock, and swimming beach. There is a $5 dollar day use fee for this site.

Owl Creek Packer Camp Trailhead

This trailhead is located across the road from the Owl Creek Packer Camp. This trailhead accesses Trail #35, which goes around the south side of Holland Lake and leads to Upper Holland Lake, and ultimately the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Trail #35 intersects trails #415, #120, and #110. This trail is heavily used by outfitters and stock. Be prepared to encounter stock and muddy trail conditions. This trail does not provide a view of Holland Falls.

There are 8 first-come, first-serve camp spots which include a picnic table, fire ring, and communal use of water and feed stations for horses.

From Highway 83 turn east onto Holland Lake Road #44 near mile marker 35. After 2.5 miles, turn right on Owl Loop Road #9558. Go about 0.5 miles and turn right on Road #10121 to Owl Creek Packer Camp. The camp entrance is located on the right, where parking is available. The trail leaves on the left, across the road from the Packer Camp entrance.

Lindbergh Lake Campground

Lindbergh Lake Campground has 11 designated campsites. Restrooms, fire rings, and food storage boxes are available. Drinking water is not provided; please bring your own source of water. This campground is wheelchair accessible. Fishing, swimming, and boating may be enjoyed on the lake. The maximum recommended trailer length for this area is 20 feet. Please pack out what you pack in– no trash service is provided. There is a trail from the campground which leads part of the way around the west side of the lake.

Lindbergh Lake Boat Ramp

There is a boat ramp located within the Lindbergh Lake Campground. Day parking and restrooms are available. There is no trash service—please pack out what you brought in.

From Highway 83, turn west onto Lindbergh Lake Rd also called Forest Service Road #79 and follow for 3 miles bear right instead of straight, following signs for 79 and the Lindbergh Lake Campground. After an additional 0.6 miles, continue straight– following signs for the campground. The boat ramp is at the end of the loop. Day users- please use the parking on the right as you drive in, leaving the camping spots open for overnight users.

Holland Lake Picnic Site

The Holland Lake Picnic Site offers plenty of parking, trash receptacles, restrooms, water supply, and several picnic sites with tables and grills. This site also has a swimming area, but no lifeguard on duty.

Directions

From Highway 83 turn east onto Holland Lake Road #44 near mile marker 35. Follow this road about 2.6 miles. Just past the boat ramp turn right following signs for the group use and day use areas. Pull into this parking lot. The picnic tables are just over the rise closer to the lake. If you go past signs for the Bay Loop you’ve gone too far.

Holland Lake Boating Site

This area has a large parking area and a primitive boat ramp located near the Holland Lake Campground. Please be advised this ramp is very shallow and will not accommodate large boats. This site is also near the group camping site, picnic and swimming area, and Holland Lake Nature Trail. Restrooms are available.

From Highway 83 turn east onto Holland Lake Road #44 near mile marker 35. Follow this road about 2.5 miles. Just past the intersection leading to Owl Packer Camp, turn right for the boat ramp. If you go past signs for the day use area or Bay Loop you’ve gone too far.
